Here’s why I love speaking:

  • I believe the power that words have on our lives.
  • I believe we all have a story worth sharing…sharing through speaking + writing is mine.
  • I believe some of the greatest empowerment can come from speaking truth over people and into their lives.

Every time I speak to an audience, I aim to put those beliefs into action. I want to educate, encourage and empower people of all ages on the topics of life, purpose, mental health, eating disorders, faith, and more. Most importantly, with every topic I speak on, I want to remind every single person that they are capable of creating a life they love and are proud of.

The first time I spoke to an audience (outside of the many presentations I’ve given in business school), I fell in love with speaking. It was to approximately 80 athletes (ages 14-18) and their parents at a Christian volleyball club and I spoke on 3 things they could learn about their own testimony, giving my testimony as an example along the way. Sure, I was nervous beforehand (who isn’t?). But the joy and excitement I felt from connecting with the audience, sharing valuable insight, and making an impact on people’s lives with my words was unmatched.

Speaking Topics

Below are some of my speaking topics. You can visit my Podcast page to see examples of my speaking and I’m always happy to use a podcast topic for a speaking engagement too. If you need a customized talk to fit your theme, event, audience, etc., let me know and we can work someting out.

Wild & Free—Creating a Life You Love and Are Proud Of (all ages) – This talk first focuses on what it looks like to declare that we are wild and free, and to step into that truth. Then, I dive into how seeing ourselves in this light allows us to create a life (and a self) that love and are proud of. I include my own story, insights I’ve gathered from therapy and my journey, and practical tips to help you feel empowered to take that first step. It’s never too late to make a change towards the life you want—you can do it!

Walking Your Own Path (all ages) – In this talk, I discuss the ideas of being “behind” in life and the cruel lies this world tells us regarding our timeline. I also reinforce the truth about timing and the path we’re currently on. This talk uses personal stories, Scripture, and wisdom to break down the subjects of comparison, rushing life, living in the now, and much more. Through all of this, I aim to help people see that they are right where they’re meant to be and find their purpose that comes from walking out their own path.

Unbecoming (all ages) – Society puts so much importance on who we’re becoming and praises us when it aligns with their standards. But what if life was less about becoming and more about unbecoming? Unbecoming all the things and people that we aren’t anymore or never were to begin with. I see it as peeling back the layers of the masks, identities, and false beliefs we’ve added on over the years, so that we can find out who we are at our core. Once we realize that, we can truly begin living our truest selves. In this talk, I share my own journey with unbecoming along with why it’s needed in the first place and practical tips to use in your own life.

Making Social Media Work (geared towards either teen girls or young adult women) – In today’s world, everything is connected – sometimes too connected. But rather than doing away with social media altogether, how can we instead make it work for us? In this talk, I get deep into my own struggles (and triumphs) with social media  and the effective changes I made to make it work for me. With these tips and strategies, I hope to help girls and women create a social atmosphere that enhances their life rather than takes it away.

Worthy, Capable, Loved (for pre-teen/teen girls) –  I want every single girl out there to know that she is worth more than she knows, capable of more than she thinks, and loved more than she can imagine. This talk is centered around what being women made in the image of God means and how to live out that identity while navigating the teenage years. Topics discussed include self-esteem, value, self/body image, purpose, and building a strong personal faith.

Worthy Capable, Loved (for young adult or adult women) –  In this talk, I look at what it means to be worthy, capable and loved and how exactly women can live that out.  I also connect these 3 adjectives with the areas of our lives such as identity, purpose, relationships, beauty, body image, careers, and faith. I want every single woman out there to know that she is worth more than she knows, capable of more than she thinks, and loved more than she can imagine.

From Anorexia to Orthorexia to Obsession: My Journey to Finding Freedom from My Eating Disorder (all ages) – In this talk, I lay out my entire journey of battling an eating disorder in college from start to finish. I discuss: how I went from anorexia to orthorexia to obsession, making my way back to God, finding freedom from the disorder that sucked away my life, and how recovery is possible. I also discuss one of the most important parts of what I went through which is how God turned my mess into my message, and how He can do the same for you – no matter what you’re going through.

The Most Important Story You Will Ever Share (all ages) – This talk focuses on the most important story anyone could ever share: the story of how they met Christ. More specifically, 3 specific things everyone can learn about their own testimony and just how unique and special it is. I introduce these 3 points by demonstrating them in my own story. The hope of this talk is to cultivate an understanding and ownership of the story you were created to tell.
