HEY Y'ALL!
I’m Kristyn, a 27-year-old author, podcaster, content creator, and human who is passionate about creating a life that I love and am proud of. I love all things Fall, dessert, Gilmore Girls, Harry Potter, Taylor Swift, and Disney.
In my free time, I love hanging out with friends and family, playing the piano, reading, doing puzzles, enjoying nature, and moving my body.
Values I live by:
- Kindness, first and always
- Being my genuine and authentic self
- Never being too old for adventure
- Laughter — it truly is the best medicine
- Compassionate, to self and others. We’re all humans trying to figure this life out.
- Embracing the mystery, unknown, and gray of life
- Cats are 100% the best

It’s taken me a long time to create a life I love and become a person I’m proud of. Or rather “unbecome” everything and everyone I never was or no longer am.
Rigid, perfectionist, self-critical, rule-follower, control freak, people pleaser, emotionless, all-or-nothing mindset, go-go-go lifestyle…these are just a few of the things I’ve had to learn (and am still learning) to let go of in order to find who I truly am and was created to be.
I lived needing to be “right”, do “right”, say “right”, think “right”, follow the “right” path. In other words, I couldn’t be wrong…so what happened when life went plenty wrong?
When I battled an eating disorder in college, when chronic fatigue and depression took over my mid 20s, when relationships didn’t work out, when I started battling anxiety and OCD-Scrupulosity, when my faith was in shambles, when I felt lost and behind and late.
While all difficult, looking back, I truly would not be who I am or where I am without those moments. My eating disorder led me to write a book and find a new appreciation for food, movement, and my body. My battles with mental health gave me empathy and a passion to help others who are struggling in similar ways. Deconstructing my faith allowed me to have more freedom and peace.

Through unbecoming, I’m finding my most authentic, unique, beautiful, wild & free self.
I hope to live in a way that is authentic to me and inspires others to live a life that is genuinely them too. While I love to empower through words and content, I mostly want the way I live to invoke courage in others to fully live each day on this adventure called life. I want them to see what’s possible in their own lives too.
And at the end of the day, I truly want my life to be a reflection of “all good things are wild and free”.
Writing
Words have always been my passion. I just love the power they have to tell a story and change lives. It’s truly where I find peace and freedom. I write for work, but I also write for my own brand—social media posts, books, blogs—to express myself—journaling, poems—and for the simple joy of it. Everyone who knows me associates me with writing. I have published 1 book, and have 3 more ideas I’m working on now.
Podcasting
Through my podcast, Chaos and Art, I aim to encourage and empower everyone to embrace and celebrate both the messiness and beauty of life. To know that they can create a life that they love, regardless of where they’re at. Because, I believe that it’s in this messy middle that we find the courage and the freedom to live, love, and create.
Empowering
I believe it’s important to speak up for what you believe and stand for. For me, that’s a lot of things. But every time that I do, my goal and hope is that I empower someone with my words and actions. I want every single person on this earth to know that they are powerful, capable, loved, and accepted. Mostly, I want them to be empowered to go and create a life they love and are proud of.
Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?
